Monday, November 3rd 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM 60 Garden Street, Phillips Auditorium IWFMA is pleased to host a special program highlighting women in science and discovery.
The evening will begin with a private tour of the Harvard Plate Stacks and the historic Great Refractor telescope led by the Curator (4–5 pm). Immediately following, members will join a panel conversation with Director Lisa Kewley and women scientists and engineers from the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory (5–6 pm). The discussion will showcase the cutting-edge work women are leading in astrophysics and engineering.
We encourage members to arrive early to allow time for parking so the tour can begin promptly at 4 pm. Parking is available in the Yellow Lot off Madison Street (paid, Harvard-controlled), with Phillips Auditorium located in the closest building.
Join us for this unique opportunity to explore the history of astronomical discovery, engage with inspiring scientists, and connect with fellow IWFMA members.
